We use Sherwin Williams products, (Deckscapes), when staining a deck.  We use their products to strip, restore, and stain.  New decks should not be stained until at least 30 days after installation, so that the treated wood has time to dry out.  To get the longest life possible out of your deck it should be sealed or stained, by a professional, using the best products available.
